No data protection officer has been appointed. A sole proprietorship of this size is not required to appoint one.

Hosting

The website is operated by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes the data technically required to deliver and protect the page: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser type, and, where applicable, the page you came from. Transmission is encrypted with TLS.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is a secure and reachable website. We do not use these connection logs for advertising. A source hint in the address is read only as described under “Invitation links”.

This can involve a transfer to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If that basis falls away, Cloudflare relies on standard contractual clauses. Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Fonts

Pacifico and Nunito Sans are served from our own server. Opening the page does not create a connection to Google or any other font provider.

Local storage and language

Local storage keeps only the key “aw-theme”, recording that the page is shown in light mode. The site starts in English. If you switch language, we store that choice in a cookie named “aw-lang”. It contains only “de” or “en”, lasts one year, and is used solely to show the site in the language you chose. Neither is used to recognise you for advertising or analytics. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, because the access is strictly necessary for the service you requested, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We do not set tracking cookies.

Invitation links

Links to this website can carry a hint in the address, for example “?source=flyer”. The hint names only the invitation, such as a flyer, and not a person.

The address is part of the hosting connection data. We read the hint to see which invitation was used. We do not set a cookie for it and we do not store it in the browser. It is not linked to your name or email address. No profile is built, and we do not keep a separate store just for these hints.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is seeing which invitation brings people here. You can object, Art. 21 GDPR. You can remove the hint from the address before you open it. The page works the same way.

Contact by email

If you write to us, or use “Write a note” in the contact panel, your email program opens. The details (name, email address, project, message) are not stored on this website. They are sent as email to hello@alignedwork.de. We process them to answer the enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where pre-contractual steps are involved, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence once the matter is closed, unless a statutory retention period applies. Business letters can be kept for up to six years (§ 257 HGB), and tax-relevant records for up to ten years (§ 147 AO).

Booking

The Cal.com calendar loads only after you open it explicitly (“Choose a time” or “Book a call”). Simply viewing the page does not contact Cal.com.

When you open it, Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, receives your IP address and browser data so the calendar can be shown. If you book a time, we process the form details, at least name and email address, plus the date and your answers to the questions asked there. We are the controller for that booking data. Cal.com processes it on our behalf. Cal.com states that it processes data in the USA and bases transfers from the EEA on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy mechanism such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Their notice: cal.com/privacy.

The legal basis for the booking is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Loading the calendar is permitted under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG because you expressly request the booking service. We delete booking data once the appointment and the following correspondence are finished, unless a retention duty applies.

Whether you must provide data

You can visit the website without giving further details. Booking a time requires the fields marked in the form. Without them we cannot enter the appointment. There is no legal duty to give us data.

Your rights

You can write to hello@alignedwork.de. You have the right to:

• access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

The processing described here is not based on consent, so there is no consent to withdraw. You can object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, including the reading of a source hint in the address.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
